JOB DESCRIPTION :-Position collaborates with research scientists to provide statistical expertise in the design and analysis of studies that assist delivery of technologies, products, and claims.
JOB FUNCTIONS :-Collaborate with research scientists in the implementation and analysis of Biostatistics aspects of research protocols, including but not limited to alternative designs, randomization, sample size assessments, data review, and treatment analysis.
· Utilize appropriate statistical design techniques and analysis methods to achieve research study objectives, support claims development, and support animal welfare objectives of reducing animal numbers, refining study designs and replacing of animals by non-animal methodologies.
· Develop and write statistical analyses plans in collaboration with research scientists.
· Provide timely, expert analysis, interpretation, and reporting of statistical results.
Basic Requirements
·Ph.D. in Statistics
·Minimum 7 years post-graduate with applied biostatistics experience in the animal, health, or pharma industry, or demonstrated relevant equivalent industry experience
·Demonstrated high level proficiency in biostatistical techniques using SAS STAT and SAS PROC SQL
Desired Requirements
·Excellent planning and organizing skills with the capacity to multi-task and maintain attention to detail to meet deadlines
·Strong relationship building skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, or independently with minimal supervision
·Advanced computer literacy and the advanced capacity to use PC based software including Oracle Clinical, data warehouse query and analysis tools, and reporting packages
· Working knowledge of relational databases and experience using Oracle SQL, MS Access, PL/SQL
