A leading financial service provider is currently looking to add a Senior Basel Consultant / SAS Modeller with strong technical skills to their Retail Credit Risk team based in the South West of England.
The successful candidate will be take on a senior technical role, be responsible for delivering business focussed analysis and risk modelling expertise and supporting the modelling manager to ensure the model development meets the needs of the business, as well as:
- Develop Basel loss models, applications and behaviour scorecards
- Support the integration use of Basel loss metrics
- Provide technical support and mentoring for junior staff
- Provide general oversight for development of best practice and strategic management
The ideal candidate will have:
- A good degree in a numerate discipline
- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills with experience using Statistical Model developments
- Strong knowledge of Excel and SAS
- Ability to transfer knowledge and guidance on technical issues
- Experience within Retail Credit Risk
- Knowledge of the Basel Accord
