RAVE from MEDIDATA

RAVE is a powerful web-based data capture (WBDC) tool, and has extensive client base worldwide. In India Cognizant currently is looking people with working knowledge of RAVE.

We have worked with many WBDC tools and CDM tools, but RAVE clearly stands out to be the best. The key strengths include descriptive edit checks, intutive navigation and comprenhensive help package. As a single package RAVE has powerful Report designer which makes reporting simple and easy to perform.

Clinnovo now offers intensive training program on RAVE and would definetly help people with prior knowledge of clinical research to jump start their career. For details contact : satish@clinnovo.com

The next batch of RAVE will start May 2nd week 2008, register early if you are interested.

  3. You should consider that there are probably 2000 worthwhile pharma companies, so the total market size is limited. In this niche area of clincial data management there are only few products and each company holds a geographical dominance.

RAVE as far as we know is a name, not an acronym

  5. RAVE is quite easy to use and has built-in edit checks etc., We don't know the global market share but it will sure increase as companies move to WBDC

  7. RAVE is the software for Clinical Data Management. Medidata the company that licenses RAVE provides training to licensed users of RAVE, you can find the available courses at http://www.mdsol.com/services/university.htm

Clinnovo Research Labs provides overview of the RAVE system. This overview will NOT make you an expert on RAVE but gives you a good overview and basics on the software - just enough to get you past the interview stage !!! Most of the demand for RAVE has for now come from Chennai and Delhi.

    Please contact satish@clinnovo.com for details.

  8. To the previous comment above - RAVE has a 40% market share of the Electronic Data Capture Market globally for Clinical Trials. Oracle might only have about 8% now - a great decline from 5-7 years ago. The demand for RAVE has exploded in 2008, and the need for more experienced analysts and Edit Check / custom function developers will be great in the coming months.

  9. The majority of training in the Rave (not an acronym) product is from Medidata themselves. They run open classes in both the UK and in US (NJ). Training from other organizations may not be official, and therefore may not be recognized by sponsor companies. For basic study building, you are looking at the Study Design & Build Essentials class. To act as a full Study Designer, you need to attend the more advanced class and hold a number of months experience in building. If you want to do advanced building, with customization, then you may also want to consider a Custom functions programming class. This is for individuals with a programming background.
