PRO or Patient Reported Outcomes are the most complicated form of data being collected in a clinical study. The problem is that the data has to be collected in a home setting and entered by a patient himself to obtain the best subjective assessment. This poses two problems : 1. Transmission of data from patients diary to a remote central server. 2. Need to build a simple user interface for patient to enter their outcome data. Currently this requirement is filled by eDiary and remote tracking (telemetry) systems, and this might give way to Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) based technology in near future.
One vendor that offers robust and easy to use ePRO solutions is PHT : http://www.phtcorp.com/

Clinnovo currently is developing an EMR product with a core module focussed on telemetry and wireless data transmission. The product will be available for Indian Markets in July 2008.
